Is there a necessity of a general fixed age limit for pilots? Should the differences of maximum age be harmonised across the different flying professions?
Is the current European Age 60 rule rational and fair? There is scarce evidence in favour of the Age 60 rule and that is hardly sufficient to justify the economic hardship imposed upon older pilots. Does the removal of most experienced pilots with overall good health status compromise the safety?
The absence of recognized age related problems does not mean safety.
